Blaine walked up to the bar and waved at Wes, trying to get his attention. It was Friday night and almost time for Brittany to perform her opening act, which was why Blaine had left his office to see the show. While New Directions may still have been new, business was booming and the place was considerably full, people lounging around the parlor and sipping their drinks.
Where was Wes? Or David, even? He just wanted a gin sour to sit down and watch Brittany perform. He rolled his eyes, knowing that chances were they'd locked themselves in the closet again—Blaine was really starting to doubt if this was actually something that happened by accident or not.

Artie noticed that both bartenders were missing. This was not the right time to neglect thirsty customers, not minutes before the show was to start. He nodded towards Blaine and told him he would search for Wes and David.
First, Artie wheeled over to the supply closet to pick up one of the spotlights used for the performances. Blaine Anderson held nothing back when it came to investing in New Directions; the high production values, in addition to the quality of its performers, helped it stand out among the other Hollywood parlors.
As he got closer, he heard two voices moaning and laughing softly. At first, Artie suspected that some unruly patrons had snuck into the closet. However, both tones were decidedly male. Curious (and still in need of that spotlight for Brittany's set), he swung the door open....
...and there were David and Wes, in flagrante delicto. Both employees apologized profusely for being caught in the act. Artie winked at them in response.
"I understand. Blaine probably does, as well. Just not when we're busy, all right? Now get dressed and head back to the bar." The lovers nodded while buttoning their shirts.
That happened quite often. Most of the time, Artie felt sympathy for Wes and David. He could definitely relate with their unfortunate need to hide their affections. He only became annoyed when it affected his job duties. During their most recent escapade, the couple dislodged the spotlight from its usual position. It took Artie an extra two minutes to find it.

"Were you able to find them?" Blaine asked as he crossed paths with Artie once again, heading behind the bar. He really wanted to enjoy a gin sour before watching the performance for the night.
He began to make his drink when Wes and David exited out of the supply closet, both grinning and fixing their collars. He rolled his eyes toward Artie and just shrugged it off--he did understand his best friends' need to show their affections--but there was a time and place for everything.
